Evans Family Corn Maze

The largest corn maze in the valley is in Wilmot, NS. Evans Family Farm Market boasts a day of fun and frolic in their corn maze. It will confuse and delight even the most experienced mazers.

My friend and I attended this the summer of 2016 and we had a great time. We were in for a total of over 2 hours, and were amazed at the work they must have put into this to make it work. We started off with a fresh apple, and headed in. Despite the confused look on others’ faces, we thought “how hard can it be”. Well, its hard.

We got lost a number of times. You could see where others had left a “trail”, but had eventually gone over the same patch of trail many times. The same thing was happening to us.

Throughout the maze, you look for clues and mailboxes, and get your stamp once you’ve reached a new checkpoint. We got almost all of them, but not all.

We did eventually find the exit, but only by coincidence. This, however, meant that we missed some of the maze. By the time we got to the end, it was getting quite hot in the valley, and instead of staying in and completing the whole thing, we gave it up and walked out of the exit trail.

At the end of the trail, there is a smaller maze set up outside for the little kiddies, and also a tractor train which will take you for a short ride, so we did that too. It was truly a great day of fun, and after we were finished, we bought all kinds of fresh fruits and vegetables from the farm.

If you get a chance to do a road trip to the valley, this is something you really don’t want to miss.
